I looked into it before buying a rubber Weathertech mat. When I felt it at the store it seemed like marine-grade carpet. So if you've seen marine-grade carpet you'll get a sense for how it does with the items that you listed above. It'll clean out easier than regular carpet but it can still stain.

My personal opinion was that if I didn't plan on putting dirty things in there, it would be great...perfect for hauling fishing/camping gear, boxes, etc. If you toss other things like rocks, wood, metal, etc....go with a mat or bedliner.

The Bedrug is a great product but with what you said I personally would go with something else like possibly a drop in and than get a BedRug Mat for the top that you can take out when your going to haul a dead animal I personally tell my customers that I wouldn't put anything on a Bedrug that I wouldn't put in the trunk of a car. It can be cleaned with a pressure washer but it will never be the same again. It is closed cell so it won't absorb water and it can be toweled off but I have had customers spill oil and gas on it and it won't come out the smell and it will than attract dust as well.

Broken

I have a bedrug and love it. I don't use my truck as a work truck. I use it to camp and use sparingly. I have used the same rug for my last three trucks. So it has saved me the$ of putting in liners in diff trucks. It is comfortable on the knees and things don't slide around. When it gets dirty I use a vacuum and it cleans well. Firewood bark leaves etc vacuums with the house vacuum. Messed up this winter and had a 12 pack of diet coke explode. What a mess. But a shop vac made little work of it. For my application I would buy another if needed.

It also looks great!

I have a bedrug tailgait cover and love it. I didnt do the bed because sliding a ice house in and out sucks with it in there. Hair sticks but its easy to vlean anything off it.

I had a bedrug. It was nice and cleaned up well. Didn't like all the dust on it when on gravel roads. Looking at their new product called the Bedtread. Looks like it might be easier to clean and you still have that little bit of cushion. Need to see one first.
