For those in the cities, ice out is fast approaching on area lakes. Smaller lakes will probably be ice free within 4-5 days the way things are going.

371 bay of N long is wide open! crow wing lake is open as of this morning, round lake looks like it will be open any day now, gull didnt look like its melted much.

perch lake is about 95% open, the bay where the access is at has some ice but it'll probably be out by today i would guess; white sand looked open but I couldnt see for sure from 210

I couldn't believe how quick 371 bay of N Long went out. Drove by Thursday afternoon and it looked like you could still ice fish it from the wayside access. By Friday a.m. at 8 a.m. all the ice was out. There were people out ice fishing in the Merrifield Bay on Saturday. Don't know how they were able to get on the ice because there was open water from the access almost 100 yards out.

Gull looked wide open this morning from the Hole in the Day side anyways

Lake Alexander is open. Fish Trap looks open as well.
