Wolf - looks thicker than yote. 2c

To me looks like a yote...pointy nose & ears and skinny tail. The wolf I saw deer hunting a few years back was bigger, more square nose and a bushier tail. But hard to judge size from this pic.

The tail suggests coyote to me also.

Seen a few of those around here the last year or 2 also.I was told it probably was a coyote as a wolf is a lot bigger & rarely seen.

I would go with coyote as well. But, there are quite a few wolves in that area.

Next time, shoot the thing so we can get a better look! wink

You got that right Creepworm! I hunt outside of deer creek & mother-in-law lives close to east leaf...couple years ago the DNR hired a private trapper to come in & live trap wolves. He ended up with over 20 of them. I hope they released them in the back yards of all these tree huggers that think wolves should remain on endangered list!

That criter has a blocky body, I vote coy dog.

To me, the tail doesn't look bushy enough to be a coyote and the ears look rounded enough to be a wolf.

Yote for sure

I am not qualified to give proper ID, however I do know of at least 3 wolves trapped last season within 5 miles of Ottertail shoreline. Plenty of them around.
