Buddy fished the river today. Ice jam has river plugged at shallow area by island 2.7 miles down stream or west. River clarity not good 18 inches and no current. Don't understand why usually very clear when just starting to break up. He had to point boat down stream and put trolling motor on 1.5 to 2.5 just to go down stream. They tried casting and jigging zero fish casting all jigging. Caught 9 and lost 3 or 4 more.

Hi,

I have fished the river the last 5 days & we are catching all walleyes in 23 to 25 feet... drifting & verticle jigging with minnows or plastics.
