Bowstring crappies

Hi Guys I have heard that bowstring has a good crappie population I was thinking of giving it a shot next weekend. Not Looking for the spot on the spot but just some tips on areas to check. Any Bad ice areas to be catious of? Thanks in advance!

maybe give geiger's up there a call. I was thinking about going there also sometime.

It's just a couple miles down the road for us.We stopped at the public landing on Co Rd 35 Sunday on our way back from Bowstring Store.It seemed like there wasn't as many out there as there has been.It looks like that access has actually improved some as there has been a pressure ridge near shore almost all season.If you know someone on the lake,give them a call.

How is the spring crappie bite going?

I'm not on Bowstring but very nearby,same chain & most of the crappies I'm finding are deep(25-40fow).A couple nice days would change that IMO.

FYI no dock at public access on Co Rd 35

gunner, is it that they didn't put it in or did they completely remove it from the access??

It's there,they just hadn't put it in when we rolled thru there last Sunday morning

Update:dock is in.......access still not good.
