Haven't fished that lake for years, but from what I remember there are some pigs to be caught out there, but you need to sort through about 50 to 100 7 inchers first. That said, I'm a bit skeptical of a cattle drive to get people to head there instead of elsewhere? whistle

Truth to what? Your first post?

It could be true, lakes go through natural boom and bust cycles. However, Bald Eagle gets hit incredibly hard no matter what the season, so that cycle never really gets a real chance to pan out. Given last years long hard winter with so much snow, a spring that really never was, and a short summer season, it could have had a chance to pump up the size on the crappies. I have noticed that effect on other lakes.... A few things are for sure on Bald Eagle: the lake somehow kicks out some decent crappies, it is a crappie factory regardless of the majority size structure, and there is a LOT of lake that never sees any real action from fishermen. If you live close enough, it is worth a try. The info you received could in fact be a cattle drive, but you never know.

One more thing, I never meant any ill will towards you, and I apologize if you felt slighted in any way smile

Was out all day Sunday.   Not a single bite.  Lots of boaters but it would have been nice to at least catch something.  It's a crazy lake with all the structure.
