Starting this topic because I thought it would be fun to see anything interesting that people are capturing on their underwater cameras, so please share your pics or videos to this thread.

Please note the camera brand and model, and maybe the lake name if you don't mind sharing. Interesting pictures of structure and fish would be fun. Or just normal pics of fish you see too, even if there's nothing remarkable about it.

I just bought a Vexilar FishPhone but haven't used it much and haven't captured anything interesting really, so I'm curious what other people are seeing!

That snapping turtle is just cool. Looks like he was about to grab your fish-shaped cam. Those things creep me out! laugh

Yeah, they can do some serious damage.

MedicineMan, I noticed in most your videos the camera is moving. Are you just drifting with the wind in open water or actively using the trolling motor?

I noticed the fish/turtle seem curious about your cam in many of them which I think is interesting... Like they can tell it doesn't quite belong.

Chumba, that has to be incredibly frustrating! Clearly he's checking out your bait, but just not interested in biting. I would be tempted to pack up and go home, lol. What were you using for bait there?

Do you use a panner system? Seems like you're able to keep a pretty good eye on him. Loved when he came in for his close up near the end.

What camera are you using?

Do you know what is the vegetation on the bottom that looks kind of white-ish?

Stumbled across this thread and figured id share a pic. My truck keys on the bottom of red lake. Camera was a aqua view microview. full-2178-52517-20150201_092501.jpg

Tough to see but the dealer tag is floating up andis the sam color as the water. I got them back with a tapemeasure and magnet.

Went out to lower prior today and broke open someone's old hole and put my camera down and found what looked like a nice northern, except it never moved a fin no matter whet commotion I made. Could it have been caught, frozen and then sunk to the bottom? Or some sort of decoy left by previous fisherman? I do know dead fish normally float.

Also was going to ask whether it's possible to see the thermocline in the water? When I lowered my camera in a few spots I could clearly see a greyish layer of water about halfway down in about 10' of water (and no it wasn't the bottom of the ice!)

As for the Pike, I've seen them do this before. In my case it was after ice out but in spring. In fact I think it was the day before fishing opener. It was over a Sandy bottom just like your picture and only 3 ft. of water. My friend spotted it and we crept up on it using the trolling motor. It didn't budge until we were literally right on top of it. And then it moved away slowly. Not sure what the case was. Maybe a spawned-out female resting up? Not sure when you took this, but I doubt they would've been able to spawn just yet, unless there's some open water with access to reeds, etc. But it's cool, that's for sure!

I took the pic of the pike on the day I posted it, so smack dab mid-winter in about 15 fow. The more I think about it it was probably just resting and didn't notice my movement. Or there was something wrong with it.

Here's some from my last time out on the ice in early March:
