Dual Axle House this weekend

Planned on taking my son ice fishing for the weekend. With the weather warming up was wondering if anyone knew anywhere a duel axle 20 foot could go on. Thanks in advance.

I was on red last weekend with a 24' . We had 15-16" I just kept it around 5mph and stayed in the area the resort said was ok. Best thing to do is call before you go.

There have been some decent sized wheel houses out on Lake of the Woods between Warroad and Springsteel since mid last week. Springsteel hasn't plowed or marked their road yet, but they are letting traffic through, so I'm assuming that was where they got on. They are only going out to around 18 to 20 feet of water because there is a large pressure ridge and no ramps across yet. We had 4 or 5 inches of snow last night, so with that weighing on the lake along with the warm weather I'm going to stick to my portable for now and just give it another week for the bigger wheel house.

you're gonna pull a 20ft double axle out?? Wow it takes all kinds. Natural selection at it's finest.

Dbag comments like this are the reason people stop posting and using forums. A 1/2 ton pulling a single axle dropped 2 tires in last weekend because he was driving next to a crack on a marked trail. The ice is never safe! But if you use your head listen to the resorts advice you can cut that risk down. There were four other double axle houses in the area we were in last weekend and no on had an issue.

I traded my 16ft for a 21ft IC. I know its heavier but wouldn't the extra axle distribute the weight a little better.

I'm not telling you what to do, but I've had my 20' tandem out on 9" of really good clear ice. I wasn't necessarily comfortable with that, but 10" is enough for me (for just the house pulled by a 4 wheeler).

Red Lake had 16" or so last weekend. Easily enough for a truck and 20' house.

The warm weather shouldn't have much (if any) affect on the ice.

I was on red last weekend there was deff. a good 15 inches of Ice and the walleyes were active! It's always smart to call ahead after all it is a bit of a hike up there from the cities.

Best of luck to you and your son!

On south side of Red last weekend I measured 17+ inches of clear hard ice and saw many dual axle houses being pulled by 3/4 ton trucks. It is still ice and it is never completely safe, I am just letting you know what I saw. Fishing wasn't half bad either.

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
