how to use spoons?

Hi trying my hand at walleyes how do you use a spoon. i put on a minnow head and hit bottom bring it up and let it set. then just jiggle it some. how long should i do it for just keep it moving or pause? any tips would be great thanks

Work it hard and aggressive unill you mark then slow it down abit

I would say the majority of the time I get them with a real fast, but short jig stroke - almost like the spoon is vibrating. Other times I have had to keep it perfectly still to get bit, or have to aggressively jig with 2-3' jig strokes.

I like to use a little more than the minnow head. If you pinch it off about halfway, the minnow head will float up with the treble hook a little and give it more action versus just hanging.

Watch your fish finder. The fish will tell you by whether they respond or not. Its always a little different depending on conditions.
