I put skis on my Fish Trap Pro and loaded down it pulls about 75% easier. They can be put on or taken off in about a minute. The compound angles pretty much hold them on but through trial and error have found out that a little piece of wood (1/4 x 1 1/2 x 3) mounted to the bottom of the angle on the long pieces mounted to the skis really helps. The bungee cord keeps them on and is just hooked to a J bolt attached to the under side of the tub lip. full-44005-51004-image.jpg

I attached my cc ski's directly to the tub with counter-sunk screws (on the skis). If you try pulling it on bare ice and they're not counter sunk they will dig right into the ice. Been there, done that!!!!!!!! eek

Screwing skis directly to the tub will work better than nothing, but it certainly won't be as nice as something that'll lift the sled 4-8 inches up so it won't drag through the snow.

Here's some old threads -- the name that most folks use is 'smitty sled' if you want to google around for more:

http://www.hotspotoutdoors.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2706277/Re_Ice_Gear_Sleds_light_non_4_

Also, a search tip on this site. There's a 'search' menu toward the top, but it's not ideal. Try the 'search' box on the LEFT side of the screen . It will work just like google, but limit results to threads on this message board. It's really nice. Try it sometime -- in fact, put 'smitty sled' in there and give it a whirl, see what you find. Or even if you don't know what kind of sled, try 'portable skis sled'. LOTS of great results.

I had a smitty sled for couple years and it was nothing but trouble. Sled did not stay on, packed snow between surface and tub making it harder to pull, and always had to take flip over off it so did not have gap under flaps. Will c which setup is better for me with my new setup this year.

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
