Striker Ice suit price

Does anybody know what price the Striker ice suit combos typically sell for at the ice shows? I remember seeing them at the St. Paul show, but don't recall the price. The Blaine show is this weekend and I would go there if they had the same deals.

dont know how typical this is but I paid 3-bennies for bibs and the jacket in DB Camo... they're nice, warm and helps you stay afloat... should you go through...

I bought my suit for $280 at the show 2 years ago. I bought it from Marine General. Great guys to deal with.

are you guys sure your talking about striker ice suits? I didn't get mine at a show but paid $500 for the full suit last year...climate model. Would have a hard time to believe they sold them for half price at the shows...

Yep climate suit. I would have never paid $500 or even $400 for that matter. Very nice suit absolutely love it but sorry I think you got hosed.

Clothing -- especially outerwear -- has some of the highest markups of any consumer products. Jewelry stores and cables at best buy are about the only things with a consistently higher markup.

Buying off season or at shows or from people who are in a position where they're willing to negotiate (e.g. shows) is always a good idea. At the show they literally bring in dozens of boxes of things and just stack them up and let them fly off the shelves. Plus, they often have volunteers selling them. So they're in a position to negotiate because less dollars needed because they have less overhead than a retail location where there's other overhead to consider (retail space used, more handling of the actual inventory, employees to pay, etc). You'll get much closer to the "wholesale" price at a show and not pay all that retail markup.
