I recieved a email from Jakes about not being able to bring any beef products into canada. Did any one else here this? How's the fishing at nw angle?

There is no meat of any kind allowed in to Canada from what I've heard. This includes deer, pork etc. You'll have to buy it up there.<P>

There is a post under the Ice Fishing main forum about this. I called the number and the fellow said basically everthing is banned except Chicken and Pork, anything else is not allowed in any form.<P>Here is the link, best to call if you have any questions. Sooooo . . . Are the Mounties patrolling the 49th parallel for any beef cattle who broke out of their barbed-wire fenced pastures and might be trying to SNEAK accross the border ???

We couldn't find a place to stay near Baudette so we crossed into Canada and stayed at a little motel there. On our way into Canada they were so worried about our beef that they didn't even ask if we were bringing in live bait. Going back into the U.S. we had to explain that they never asked about the live bait on the way in and that we had bought the minnows in Minnesota. The guy just laughed and told us to get moving.
