About the only thing I think they are late on is finely catching one in pool 2. They have been there for years now.

How long before they get well established now? Now there is a good question. No one even knows if they will get established this far up the Mississippi river. How many years has it been since they where found in SE mn and the st croix?

Yep. Im more concerned about how the state and DNR will react to this than the fish being here.

Seen a couple jump out of the water, spooked by our boat, as we idled into some backwaters on Pool 2. First time we'd ever seen them jump due to the boat turbulence. Ever seen the YouTube videos on these things jumping at the sound of a boat in the Illinois River?? Is that the fate of the Mississippi and connecting waters here in town? With what we saw yesterday, maybe one step closer.
