Question

Posted

Is there any way that I can get my mag 2000 with chipper bit to not rip my arm off when I hit the bottom of the hole? My arms are killing me!

Sharpen the center point.

My mag 2000 did this a few years back. Not when new, but after a few years of use. I asked around and was told to hit the center point with a file and get it sharp again. I did this and it worked wonders.

Also, make sure it's doing the RPM's it's supposed to. A dirty carb will slow things down and not let it rip right through.

Thanx I'll give it a try.

Also, don't push down on the auger. Let it spin under it's own weight.

Switch the blade from the bottom of the auger to the top of the auger. If that makes sense.
