Have never been to red. I am going out of beacon harbor. The road goes out 1 mile and a half in 9fow. My question is should i bring my snowmobile with or just take my portable a couple hundred feet of the road. Are they deeper than 9ft at this time of year. Thanks

I drove out Beacon's road today and they are deeper then 9 feet of water. The way the north side of the lake is this winter snowmobile is the best way too go.

Are the walleyes deeper than 9ft? Or is the water deeper than 9ft of beacon harbor road?

Beacon's road goes out to at least 12 feet of water. If there has not been much fishing pressure the walleyes can be in as shallow 6 or 7 feet. Last year we set shaky and Doc up in about 6 feet of water to see what would happen. They did very good but other then the arguing they fish very quietly.

i heard they kissed and made up so they should be good until next time.

two years ago kelly you set us up in 8' in late feb on a rock hump. it was some of the best fishing i;'ve had up there. we had several in the slot that were released and filled out for 3 of us. i'll go where ever you put us

He hd to put you in 8' of water... He knew with 10' of line on your reel that you couldn't fish in 13' water! laugh. Ha. Maybe in one more year we'll forget about 'the line' incident..... Well, then gain, maybe not! Ha

Have fun up there Bill...

Good Luck!
