Picked a a Lowrance Elite Gold to use on the sled this winter. It comes with the Navionics Gold but that doesn't have the detail i was looking for.

SO what is the best map chip for Lowrance for LOTW that includes Buffalo Bay?

Thanks in advance!!!

King, I use the Lowrance Lake Insight PRO 2013 for my HDS units on the boat and my elite 5 ice machine, has all of Lake Of The Woods to include Canadian waters, we use this on our trip up to Ontario...will do a good job for you..

I believe $99.00 at Cabelas...

i have the navionics us & canada app on my phone that would work fine if i could get those maps on gps - i thought that was navionics gold but it's not.

if i could have them the same that'd be cool.

i ended up getting the navionics hot maps premium. was the same as the US / Canada app i have.

i also looked at the lowrance and it was fine as well but had big numbers on the contour lines and got very busy on screen.

I have an Elite 4 on the snowmobile and i like but for some reson the shading is differnt on the ELite 4 vs 7 with the same map chip, the deep areas of the lake are white rather than blue so its harder to see, not sure why they'd be different and cant seem to fix that.

I've got the Lowrance Lake Insight PRO 2013 for my HDS 8 and Elite 5. It works great.

I had an interesting experience though. The entire west bay (from Arneson's to Buffalo Bay and South)was blank. I stopped back at my Fargo sports store and found that I had a faulty chip! They gave me another one on the spot.

I'm headed up to Raspberry Island in June. Will my Insight PRO give me the detail (hidden rocks)I need to keep my lower unit in 1 piece?

I have found navionics and lowrance not to be comparable on the mn side of the lake. The lowrance is far more accurate. I have both and the lowrance chip is what i rely on.

I just looked at my Elite 5 with the Insight Pro last night for the area we are going in Ontario water. The depth definition and hazard marks look awesome.

I think I'm good to go. I guess I'll see how accurate it is in June.

Awesome! Its always best to go with someone else who has been in an area but if not an option be careful. Those rocks can sneak up on ya.
