I would appreciate it if anyone could give me an update on the condition of the county road that runs from Blackduck to Hwy. 2. Any detours/ice packed? Heading that direction on Monday. Thanks for your help.

Shane, are you thinking of 39 (the Scenic) or 13 & 46..both run from Blackduck to 2. Both are open as far as I know, although I haven't traveled 39, I usually do 13 to 46 (faster route & personally think there is less packed snow due to less curves & the ability for sunlight to hit it a little more). There are some spots that have some snow packed on it (mostly at the curves), but not much, and with the warm weather coming in on Thursday (14, but through the weekend it will be pushing 30) that should no longer be an issue, unless we were to get more snow! Safe travels!

I'm looking at taking 39. We took that road last June and there was a long detour. Thank you very much for the report!

Hey Shane, I haven't taken 39 lately (I really do prefer 13 to 46) but I did ask a couple of local folks today and they said it was. But I will check with a couple of my guests coming in this weekend as they normally take that road just to be sure!

Had some folks who just checked in that drove 39; they said the road was fine except a couple of spots near the curves had some packed snow making it a little icy. Drive safe!
