I haven't a clue. How old is your son?

I would guess it is 11 lbs or a hair bigger. You always could get a graphite mount of the fish. The graphite mounts are much nicer mounts that the real thing. Then also the fish gets released.

12 lbs. would be a close estimate. Especially if it was a pretty fat fish. Start at about 5 lbs. for a 25" fish and add a pound for each inch after that- this give you a pretty close estimate if no girth measurements are available.
Congrats to your son- I can't wait until I catch my first 32" fish!
Scoot

WOW - What a mongo walter! Congrats on getting that in. Was the fight just amazing?

I know when I've talked to guys about LOW they say you can't use a regular chart to determine weight. Cory at Adrian says that they have had 27 inchers caught out there that have pushed 10 lbs. A 32" could easily go 14-15lb I would think this time of year. Nice catch. I'm still searching for one over 30", that 32" must have been a hog.

Great fish! I have a 7# I caught in 1976 or so, in the river at Clem. on the wall, my biggest eye. But that fish is 25" and it cost me at the time $3 a inch to mount. So your son's had to be a real old timer,Congrats!

2dog
Do you or anyone else know where to get a graphite mount done at? Thanks

If its as fat as you say it is, its all of 12.5 and probly 13 lbs. NICE FISH

I would guess it in the 13 lb class if it had a large girth as you stated. A general rule for a 30" fish would be 10 lbs if normal girth. Add at least a pound per inch after 30". The girth obviously plays a major factor in determing the overall weight but 32" eye with out a question a trophy fish !!!!! I have yet to break the 30" mark so kudus to your son.

Food for thought: A while back, I was fortunate enough to land a 30 1/2 incher on the Rainy River by Clementson in the fall. Probably a lake fish, because of the color. It had a 19 1/2 inch girth so it was hefty. Weighed it on my digital scale... 12 lbs. Weighed at Lucky Bait on their scale 11 lbs. 14 oz. Most walleyes that large from "The Woods" generally weigh more than the average scales you see on the cards or rulers. My experiences says anyway. Very nice HAWG!
MJ

Made a quick trip before the weekend rush on Vermilion. Ice was in very good condition. Didn't see any slush or water on any of the roads out from McKinley Park. There are plowed roads on both side of the staked snowmobile trail coming out from the landing. The road to the left goes out toward Birch Island, and there is a spur road going to the left (west) a couple hundred yards out. The road on the right side goes out toward Ely Island. There is a short spur road going east about half mile out. The water came up under my fish house about another 1½ inches when I drilled my holes. Looks like I will be going back up early next week to block my house up higher. The small amount of new snow is really drifting up and adding weight. You may get water on the ice, or find slush if you drill holes in new areas. There is about 15% bare ice where the wind has blown it off. Many of the drifts are very high and hard, so you could get stuck on them. Fishing was average. Best bites were from 9-10am and 11-1230 when I quit. Biggest walleyes was only 16¼", then the next biggest was 13.75". Reporting lengths in quarter inches because I can't seem to find any big walleyes. Good luck fishing, be careful driving around, and be courteous to others.
