Thermal Nanook

Question

Posted

I'm debating between the thermal Nanook, and the Non-thermal Nanook flip houses. I've heard that some thermal houses still sweat in cold weather. Does anyone have any info. on how the Clam thermal houses perform. Are they worth the extra bucks?

I have a clam nanook thermal and love it and will never by another non thermal house.

It is noticeably warmer and I have fished all day with no condensation on the fabric but you will get some on the windows. The other thing I like is while fishing out here in Sd we usually battle wind and the heavier fabric is nice and quite and doesn't flap or make any noise.

Only complaint with the nanook is the seats are not comfy and take up a lot of space in the tub

I also have a Clam thermal and will probably never by another non thermal house. I've been using a thermal house for about 4 years or so and have never had condensation and that includes fishing in the -30's.

I had the nanook full thermal, you will get ice along the seam holes on very cold days but no condensation really at all. It does stay very warm too. It's night and day difference between thermal and non thermal.
