LMTOUT can you explain what "spread game analyst" is responsible for and how he directly contributed to this 8-0 start?

Surely you must know since it was important enough for you to point it out.

Does it really matter or do you think he cares? His team is 8-0 and his old team is, well, awful and much much worse than it was when he was here.

In other words, you don't know.

In other words, it doesn't matter...just like I said the first time.

I'm guessing he's enjoying being associated with an 8-0 team and happy that he isn't a part of this train wreck any longer...and that makes Vikings fan bitter.

You mean his old team the Cleveland Browns where he was the offensive coordinator last year? The team that went 5-11 and was ranked 24th in offense under his kick a$$ offensive system?

So do the beer salesmen and the cheerleaders but I doubt any of them hold the illusion of having anything to do with the success of the team.

LOL. Dave doesn't even know he was the Vikings coach.

*facepalm*

LOL, LMIT doesnt even know that he hasn't been the Vikings coach for a few years and was most recently the Cleveland Browns Offensive Coordinator.

Oh, so you have knowledge of his day-to-day responsibilities and whether or not they add or subtract to the success of the team?

Please, do tell.

The bottom line is that regardless of word games or beating around the bush just to cause an argument (which is all you're after here, anyway) the team he's associated with is 8-0 and he left MN with a winning record and playoff wins which is more than Leslie can claim.

Its laughable. LMT posts about chili returning to "his" "8-0" yet doesn't know what he actually does but says "does it really matter"

Sometimes when I read your posts I hear "I'm an excellent driver" in Dustin hoffmans voice.

Well, does it matter?

This all boils down to the bitterness of Vikings Fan that he's on a successful team and they're left with a team that has no chance in the foreseeable future. That's all it is.

He has to be running out of reasons on why he is starting his QBs week to week.

When they win(which is seldom) I don't listen to his press conferences, but when they lose I don't miss them.

It seems that Frazier is begging to be fired with comments like that.

I know they are pre-programmed to spew out the cliches at the press conferences, but a few of them would be better off unsaid if he really wants to maintain any semblance of credibility or understanding of what is going on.

LMT it obviously mattered to YOU since you thought it was important enough to mention the 8-0 chiefs. So unless you can provide details of how he influenced the team in getting to 8-0 I will just chalk it up to one more of your blow hard posts with ZERO substance.

In ways they are pretty similar, both are monotone, both "lost" the team and after Dallas does us both will be ex-Vikes coaches. Chili at least tried to demand a high standard of play, nobody respected him though. Again a similarity to Frazier, no respect.

The way these 2 squads have been in the past years I could see us beating Dallas 16-12. Then Fraziers job is safe and we move closer away from being the worst squad. If any team out there mirrors ours it's Dallas. (Minus the dynasty's and trophy cases). I'm talking 97-now. Up and down, hope and hope lost.

I'll chalk up your post to MN Sports Fan bitterness that another player or coach left Loserville USA and became successful.

Fair?

I asked an honest question. You have one for me? I have no bitterness unless you can tell me WHAT it is that chili exactly does that enabled the chiefs to become 8-0. BTW chili didn't leave...he was FIRED! In case you needed to be reminded.

So if he didn't leave he's still here in MN, but working for KC? His headset must have had good range to Cleveland as well.

See, I can play that game too.

Mr. LMTOUT, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...

Look at the size of that play card. Man, those were the days...

That's why it was a kick a$$ offence. The plaly card was so big it could kick your a$$.

D'ok!

Yep, going from head coach to offensive coordinator to spread game analyst is the fast track for success in the NFL!

BD next thing he is carrying water bottles. Climbing the corporate ladder.

I think its obvious that Reid did Chili a favor by giving him A job.

Guess who has to put up with his ineptitude and blatant lack of leadership ? Yep, you, the bitter MN Sports Fan.

But go ahead and keep thinking of ways that Childress isn't a part of the 8-0 Chiefs if it makes you feel better about your 1-6 circus of lies and deceit, as that is precisely the motive here.

ROFL!

Chilli may have something to do with a couple of those wins, but he sure had a lot to do with us not going anywhere when he was here. Some big bone headed plays he called. But he is light years better then what we have here now.

I don't think many people could care any less about Chili or where he's at. He wasn't a good head coach in the NFL, no one else wanted him for the 2 yrs he sat after we fired him, he got another offensive coordinator job opportunity for one season and wasn't good at that either. Now he is the "spread game analyst" for the Chiefs, I'm sure that's a monster part of the reason they are 8-0 this yr!

Just because we went from one baboon to another baboon doesn't mean we want the 1st baboon back. We need to keep moving on until we find the right guy. It's the same type of thought that since Blunder sucks we should want Junkson back, no thanks how about we keep going until we find the right guy.

So let me get this str8- you enjoy listening to "we need to go back and look at the tape. there are some THINGS we need to correct. some THINGS we need to do better. and we've got the right group of guys to get those THINGS corrected" on repeat every single press conference after a loss? Because thats all he EVER SAYS! I don't need to listen to his press conference after a loss because i already know what he's going to say!

What exactly are those "THINGS", Leslie? Can u be a bit more specific and stop spewing the same vague gibberish every time please? Or is it you don't have a clue what those "THINGS" are, you just know there are "THINGS" that need to be corrected and you know your in way over your head?

I'm not there, so I can't tell exactly what's going on but it looks like a large area of open water developed in the last day with all of the heavy snow on the east side of wake em up Narrows. These two photos are from my Ring Camera facing north towards Niles Point.  You can see what happened with all of snow that fell in the last three days, though the open water could have been wind driven. Hard to say. .

Black Bay had great ice before but a few spots near rockpiles where there were spots of open water. It looks like the weight of the snow has created a little lake in the middle of the bay.

On the south end...   Thanks to some cold spring weather, ice fishing continues strong for those still ice fishing.  The bite remains very good.  Most resorts have pulled their fish houses off for the year, however, some still have fish houses out and others are allowing ATV and side by sides.  Check social media or call ahead to your favorite resort for specifics. Reports this week for walleyes and saugers remain excellent.   A nice mix of jumbo perch, pike, eelpout, and an occasional crappie, tullibee or sturgeon being reported by anglers. Jigging one line and using a live minnow on the second line is the way to go.  Green, glow red, pink and gold were good colors this week.     Monster pike are on a tear!  Good number of pike, some reaching over 45 inches long, being caught using tip ups with live suckers or dead bait such as smelt and herring in 8 - 14' of water.   As always, work through a resort or outfitter for ice road conditions.  Safety first always. Fish houses are allowed on the ice through March 31st, the walleye / sauger season goes through April 14th and the pike season never ends. On the Rainy River...  The river is opened up along the Nelson Park boat ramp in Birchdale, the Frontier boat ramp and Vidas boat ramp.  This past week, much of the open water skimmed over with the single digit overnight temps.   Areas of the river have popped open again and with temps getting warmer, things are shaping up for the last stretch through the rest of the spring season, which continues through April 14th.   Very good numbers of walleyes are in the river.  Reports this week, even with fewer anglers, have been good.  When temps warm up and the sun shines, things will fire up again.   Jigs with brightly colored plastics or jigs with a frozen emerald shiner have been the desired bait on the river.  Don't overlook slow trolling crankbaits upstream as well.   Good reports of sturgeon being caught on the river as well.  Sturgeon put the feed bag on in the spring.  The bite has been very good.  Most are using a sturgeon rig with a circle hook loaded with crawlers or crawlers / frozen emerald shiners. Up at the NW Angle...  Ice fishing is winding down up at the Angle.  Walleyes, saugers, and a number of various species in the mix again this week.  The bite is still very good with good numbers of fish.  The one two punch of jigging one line and deadsticking the second line is working well.   Check with Angle resorts on transport options from Young's Bay.  Call ahead for ice road guidelines.

With the drifting, kind of hard to tell for sure, but I'm guessing about a foot and still lightly snowing. Cook end!

How much snow did you get on Vermilion?
    • Mike89
lake here refroze too...  started opening again yesterday with the wet snow and wind...  very little ice left today...
    • Hookmaster
A friend who has a cabin between Alex and Fergus said the lake he's on refroze. He texted me a pic from March 12th when it was open and one from 23rd when it wasn't. 🤯
    • SkunkedAgain
I don't think that there has been any ice melt in the past few weeks on Vermilion. Things looked like a record and then Mother Nature swept in again.   I'll give my revised guess of April 21st
