Hey!
I'm no expert on perch but as far as I know there pretty much all over. I usually fish the West side of the lake and catch some monster perch..like perch that are around 2 lbs!! We were up yesterday to gull rock and caught 2 perch that were nice keepers. I'm not sure if one part of the lake is better than any other but thats my 2 cents smile.gif

SDPERCHMAN,
I fished in front of Arnesens this past week in the mud. We were in 28 ft of water and was able to keep 18 JUMBO perch for the group. The majority of the fish were caught on the bobber rigs. Maybe it was luck, but the perch seemed to be more plentyful around this area. I'm sure some of the locals that know the lake better can be of more help. Good Luck

You can't really get away from them. You can find them shallow in the sand, deep in the mud and everywhere in between. I would say you would be better fishing shallow in the sand as they seem to annoy me more often there. I am not sure why you want to fish them on purpose, but whatever turns your crank.

Good afternoon,
I'm going to have to agree that the mud flat just north of Rocky Point is a great perch spot. My best luck in that spot has come later in the season though. As for right now, I caught a number of nice perch out on five mile reef. A couple of other guys and myself set up on the NW corner of the East reef and ended up keeping 10-15 nice pearch each day. We were in about 27-29 feet of water, just off the edge.
Go get em.....

I've caught most of the perch in 30 to 35 feet of water off long point. I'll let you know if we get any this weekend. grin.gif

I was up at Morris Point Resort last weekend and a gal and her son came in for more bait. She said she couldn't keep up with the perch bite so good. I seen the bucket and I be proud to take them to shore anytime. Later!!!!
------------------
Tailgunner
