The software your looking for is Mapsend Topo® and you will need a pc link. The uploaded maps will show very good shoreline detail, islands, inlets, etc.. but there is no lake contour map.

I dont know if Lakemaster software will work.. I dont think it will, but check into it. Fishing Hotspot software wont work with Magellan either... But the Topo program hold a lot of info that the lakemaster and hotspots dont.

Mapsend Topo will run you about $100.. interface cable about $30..

Let me know if your interested in buying these, I have them both sitting here not being used because my GPS dissapeared on me when I was out of town. I have extra of each.

Lakemaster and LM ProMap Series will work with your Magellan as long as you have a PC interface cable. The ProMaps Series are spot on.

What is the pc interface? A pc cable came with the unit. Is that what we are talking about. Rick, I went to the lakemaster link you added. There is a ton of stuff there. How do I know What direction to go?

If the GPS is used solely for fishing, and the lakes you fish are included in the Lakemaster software.. that is definately the way to go if you want contour maps.

If you use the GPS for travel, ATV, hunting, etc anywhere in the country.. you will want the topo program.. this also applies if your fishing small lakes that are not on the base map of your GPS, or are not included in the Lakemaster software. The base map in you unit is fair when it comes to larger bodies of water, but if you want better detail, you will want to upload maps to it.

The PC cable that came with it should be the proper cable.

My guess the proper answer to the question would be both would be ideal to have unless all the info you need is on the lakemaster software on where you will be fishing.

Dave is correct.

The Best deal is the ProMaps Series complete package. 51 highly detailed lake maps (lakes listed on the site)

If you only fish 1 or 2 of the 51 lakes listed then go to the BigLakeMaps page.

If you have questions after visiting

Minnesota-lake-maps.com

Give them a call.

Shallow Runner,

Alot depends on what size chip you use, and what else you do besides fish. I have a 64MB chip in mine with the Street to street pkg for most of Mn and Wis loaded. I also have the topo on there, but only for the small area I deer hunt. Memory chips are pretty cheeap now and if I were to get the lake master, (which I'd love to do), I wold buy and extra chip and load up the lakes I fish and then keep that always on the chip. Keep another chip with the street and topo info.

Pretty slick little units, I have the color and love the display. The street to street is nice because I can put in an address and it will take there turn by turn just like Mapquest. Get yourself an extra chip, I reccommend 128MB or 256MB depending on how big the Lake files are and your set!

Gadget

Ps. You probably know but the generic brand chips at local electronics/discount stores work just fine. you don't have to by it from Magellan. (I ran into one guy who thought he did)

WALLEYENUTZ,
the answer is yes and Route management as well.

They also have log files to record all the fishing info you need for any particular waypoint.

You can upload to the software from your GPS unit as well as download to your GPS unit.

I just recieved my copy of the Lakemaster Pro series for Mille Lacs. It's just incredible! I loaded it on a laptop, and I'll be able to track real time. I have a Garmin Map 76s and I also use the Map Source topo maps for hunting. I'll be able to real time track with that software also.

Thanks,Scotty

I am looking to purchase a GPS and I think I have narrowed my search to a Garmin 162 or a Lowrance Global Map 3200. Is there any difference between these 2 as far as what mapping software they can use? I fish all over MN, from my local Metro area lakes to Mile Lacs, Winnie, Lake of the Woods, etc..

In today's markets, there are many different liquidity provision. These providers are often financial institutions and banks, and many of them act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. These institutions tend to send buy and sell orders at prices reflecting the current state of the market and the risk associated with an asset. Liquidity providers also serve the interests of investors by maintaining tight spreads and providing reliable market liquidity. In addition, they efficiently deploy capital to serve the needs of investors.

It is strange that the developers did not think of such a nuance. In any case, you need to place an ad on the labor exchange, where you will find employees for the company and they will work with you, only you will need to conduct a preliminary interview

Creating an application for such a hotel would be the best option. Place your ad on the job exchange on the Internet, I know a few of these, then you can find developers for yourself and the work will go much easier

You won’t have to search for a long time, rather you will need to choose from the options offered. Look on the Internet for all the available options, such developers usually have their own sites that have all the information you need

I am sure that if you search in the google search engine you will find a company that is dedicated to that, but to be honest I have not much idea, I never planted the idea of something like that, from my ignorance it is very complicated, but maybe someone who have more notion of it can guide you and can even recommend a company with a good reputation that is dedicated exclusively to it, good luck with all that

Haven't really targeted geese, think we've got 3 Ross geese a blue goose and one Canada goose. We focus more on ducks, especially when we can get them in the field. Greater and lesser Canada geese around but they are spread out tons of feeds but no large feeds

Finally got the choirs done. Roofed a shed and built a woodshed. Most done by myself. Now's time to go fishing before the deer season.  Found some crappies tonight, caught 11, missed at least that many. West end. Skunked again, how'd you do, saw you heading out?

The three on top of the pile are geese. Smurfy. 😉   +1 on the decent shooting!  Thanks for the pics.  This was one post that got me to log back in to spam central.   Going dark again….
