Was up to gull rock yesterday and did well. Fished in 28 feet of water. There were people driving all over the place. We went out on a wheeler...i figured if i have it, i might as well use it. Especially since the weather was awesome. We caught our limit (4 of us) but had to work a little for them. Nothing huge but all real nice eaters! The ice was approx. 15 inches where we were at. As far as lures, well once again the buckshot rattle produced the most and a bare hook came in a close second. It didnt seem to matter if we used shiners or chubs. The fished like alot of action pretty much all day. Most fish would be caught by bouncing the rattle off the bottom vigorously and holding at 2-3'. They would just come up and hammer it. We did catch alot of nice 16-17" saugers. All in all, a nice day to be out on the pond. Cant wait to get up there again next week.
