Terrova Remote issue

yaggie

Question

My remote started to not react on several functions. I was told the battery could be weak which would cause this. I replaced the battery(unit is on its fourth season) and now the remote will do nothing. Ordered new one but is back ordered. Can any one tell me how to get a remote from another Terrova to be able to comunicate with mine as I do have access to a seldom used unit?

Assuming you are talking about an iPilot. Have you tried resetting your current remote?

I had to do that once this year on my PD2 with iPilot. My remote worked fine for the first two trips then went stupid. Unplugged the trolling motor, plugged it back in, hit the learn function and it worked again.

Hit the learn button on the motor and hold down any one of the command buttons and wait for three or four beeps to sound and your motor will be programed to the remote you will be using.
