Reno Walleye Tourney

I hear the winner had about 24 pounds of fish

It wasn't that high but if you didnt have 18+ pounds you weren't cashing a check. They usually consist's of 2 fish over 24 or 25 inches and all 19 inch plus fish but less than 20 to go with it. All depending on if the fish are footballs or rails.

Thanks. I'd say that's pretty good. The tourney results always amaze me considering you don't get to pick the date, time, or lake. I am building on Reno this summer...have not fished it much yet, can't wait to get started.

Its a great lake but theres been alot of people lately. Got a bunch of freinds that fish it and they do well.

The few times I have been on the lake it was really quiet, very relaxing. I heard the catch rate was down due to a perch explosion so I tried pulling huge plugs a couple years ago. Caught a few walleyes, but also had to take perch off the plugs every few minutes! The perch tended to be smaller than the plug.
