LOW

A quick report to everyone headed to LOW. We fished out of Border View Lodge on 22 & 23, on the 22nd we caught 21 W & S mix with a few pout mixed in. We would have had 40-50 if we wouldn't have missed so many bites. We were able to get everything that showed up on the flasher to bite, best bait was a plain hook either red or glow white with 2 fatheads hooked tail-to-tail. The fished caught on jigs were caught on a rainbow/gold jigging spoon. On the 23rd it was fast in the morning from 8-10 then it got real slow until 3:30 then the bite picked up again, we caught 21 W & S mix but on the 23rd the walleyes were bigger 16-18" and 1 pout that went about 10#'s. We are heading up this weekend how much ice? how are the roads? We will be pulling a house on wheels. Sounds like you had a good trip

fishhook8,<BR>we fished out of 2 different houses, the first one had been there a while the second was had just been moved, both houses had about 14" of ice. There were a few full size trucks on the ice and lots of smaller ones.<P>Ole

bturck,<BR>I saw from your profile you are from St. Cloud, what do you think is the best way to get there? We are going from Rice and have never been there. I deer hunt by Northhome and was going to go that way but if there is a better choice I would take it. Can't wait to get there!
