I am coming up in a few weeks. Can we please use this thread to keep an ongoing update of the water temps as things warm up.

I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance to anyone that contributes.

Everett bay was 62 last night. Out by birch point was right at 60. These next few days should warm it up with sun in the forecast.

Still stuck at 58-59 on most of the main bays and channels here on the West end. Been these temps for over a week now!

The sooner it starts the sooner it's over!! I love a good challenge when chasing Walleye.

We were out there yesterday and the temps near the casino were anywhere from 78 in the shallow bays to around 74 on the main lake. Couple of follows but did not connect with any of the skis.

Still abooot 74, after getting to near 78 over the 4th. A little wind and clouds cooled the surface down.

A light hatch of small mayflies going on. These are like 1/4 the size of the regular mayflies I am used to seeing.

After a foggy start today was beautiful. Surface temps at 79.5 in mid afternoon, and 77.8 this evening (wakemup)

Sounds like the kids will have some nice water temps for swimming in a couple weeks and I should focus on deeper structure for fishing.

Things seem pretty stable, water temp wise. If the wind is blowing I read about 75. If the wind is not blowing much and the sun is out, it is 78 to 80.

  • 2 weeks later...

After the week long cool down, including yesterday's howling north wind, the water temp was at 72 to 73.5 today in Wakemup and head-o-lakes.

We are back from seeing Tall Ships, and with the rain and cold and wind the water temp yesterday was down to 66-67.
