Some pics of Ottertail. This was from my cabin a 1/4 s of the old pier. Really cool ice mountains about 100 feet off shore. I'm glad it wasnt on the shore itself tearing everything up. I'm guessing the lake is clear in 2 days with no wind, tomorrow if there is wind. Some of the ice seemed somewhat solid still. There were 2 boats at the Zorbaz landing, as 1/2 the lake is open on that end. West Battle, Rush, and everything else seemed wide open from what I could tell.

My Dad drilled a hole on East Battle 3 days ago and the ice was still over 24 inches....

Forecast for the next 5 days has a high not over 35 degrees.

Last year ice out was March 18th... Average ice out is April 20th or so.... Ice out wont be in April this year on the lake...

Went back to look at what was happening in 13 as its real similar this year.

I'd be shocked if the Pines aren't open by tomorrow (possibly when I get home from work tonight).  Winds yesterday helped big time, although probably to the detriment of some on the North shores.  Haven't been by OT in awhile, no update for you there.
