best place to access low

hello all. i haven't been icefishing up at LOW for 4 years. I have some time off from school and am planning a quick trip up. I have a portable clam house, i would prefer to use that then rent a house. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the correct direction of a good resort to access the lake and try at some nice fish, and are people driving or can you pay a resort to drive you out??. What would be the cost to rent a house during the week? thanks!!!

Adrians would be a good choice, but you better call because they are very full. weekdays might be better.218-634-1985. Also house rental is 2 people 38.00 a day. Cabins are 2 people 68.00 a night. there is other places around to get lodging so ask them for a number or two. They will give you some good advice!!Good luck

Hey fishbuoy, If you go to Zipple Bay Resort they will haul you and your equipment out for a fee. They also have a plowed and marked road if you want to drive out yourself. I think they charge $6.00 to use it.For house rental, are you looking for a sleeper house or just an angling house? I think they charge $30.00 a day per person for an angling house. If you want to call me when you get here(218-386-4569) we could partner up and get a bigger house for the same cost. I just moved up here(Warroad) about 6 months ago and haven't met anyone yet to go fishing with.Did I just end a sentence with a preposition? Shame on me! I think it's more fun to go fishing with someone else along. Mostly for the learning experience and of course, it's alway's a pleasure to meet a fellow FM'er.
