Looking for a fun getaway for Memorial weekend? Rainy Lake has some awesome scenery and the fishing typically is also that awesome. From eaters to trophy fish in numerous specie. Families are welcome.

Woody's Resort on the Famed Rainy Lake

Friday, May 24th-arrivial day

Saturday-Fishing for walleye and some nice pike or crappie.

Sunday-More fishing and a walleye supper put on by our host Woody & LeeAnne Woods.

Monday, One can fish and then travel home when ever they choose to depart.

Woody will give a small seminar on the how to's for fish on Rainy lake, areas to fish and baits to target the specie you want to. Woody has been guiding on Rainy longer than most of us have been on this earth and he knows Rainy Lake very well.

There will be numerous prizes. We are lining up now and a list will be posted at a later date. I know I have a few walleye rods lined up now with some tackle. This list should grow.

Cost for the Friday through Monday get together will be $195 per guest and that will include the seminar, fish fry and some very nice prizes to be drawn for.

Please call and reserve your spot and mention that your coming for the Woody's Resort GTG and please send a $100 deposit.

20% discount for all Veteran's.

I personally fish Woody's every Memorial weekend and the fishing I have had for pike, eyes has been great the last years. Rainy have true trophy's for pike, walleyes and crappie and good numbers also.

If you have any further questions, please ask here in the forums or contact myself Tom-Harvey-Lee or Woody at Woody's Resort.

So far, we have a donation from Clam for a rod or two.

Donnie Lahr from Digger anchor will be donating a Digger anchor for a door prize also.

Big thanks to Clam and Digger Anchor for thier support on this event.

Working on some lure and maybe a nice net also.

Still working on more items for this GTG. If we have enogh attendee's, I am going to build a custom fishing rod for a door prize also. It will be personalized for the winner.

The door prize should in itself be worth the trip for a fun GTG.

Gonna be fun and we should have some great fishing if everything goes like all other Memorial weekends I have fished Rainy Lake.

Sounds great Steve.

Every year I go up this weekend and the eye bite has always been very good.

With the possible late ice out, those bigger pike could also still be in the shallows and it's fun picking up a few pike while trolling for eyes and some pike are in that 15-20# range.

Hope you can make it.

With Memorial weekend getting closer, if you are still questioning making the weekend, the fishing should be good.

The ice is just starting to go out and memorial weekend, the shallow haunts where we typically fish should have some of the larger pike still in the shallows.

Always fun to hook up with those larger pike inbetween the walleyes.

Just maybe, one can find some of the nice crappie in the bays.

This trip has always been a great one for me and it looks like this year could be a banner year on Memorial weekend.

THat's too bad Steve.

From the sounds of it, it looks to be a great weekend for fishing eyes and pike.

Sounds like a great trip and Rainy is such a fantastic lake to fish. I'm sure everyone will have a great time.

Unfortunately, I be thinking of all of you instead of fishing. I have a wedding that weekend so I'll be checking in to see all the pictures of nice fish and happy fishermen/gals.
