Hey Boar or anyone else up there - ? on Cold fronts -

Recommended Posts

If you get 4 or 5 Days of very cold weather in a row staying at about the same Temp do the fish slow down during those days as much as they do when you go from a bunch days in the 20s and then drop a couple days to single Digits when during those two days its usually a tuff bite ? I guess Im asking if 4 or 5 days in a row of single diget temps is considered stable weather as far as the bite goes. sorry if this is a dumb question. Im thinking of moving my trip up to this coming week instead of the following when the pressure looks to be all over the place. But the weathermen are never right anyways so maybe I shouldnt worry about it ! - Thanks, Eyes

From my experinence (only a couple years) as long as it stable the fishing is usually decent.

Agree with Larson - it can be zero or 30, as long as the barometer isn't all over the place.

Stable barometers help but fishing can be pretty hot during falling periods.

Just posted a new topic regarding barometric pressure. Guess I should have read down further since my question pertains to this thread as well.

I would like to know as well. Looks like its warm this week but heading into the weekend the weather is dropping down to single digits. Wondering how much this would effect the bite.

I aggre with larson an Vman stable is as stable dose, cold or warm. its when it been so fluctuating that rellly mess things up btu when a guy can go a guy can go, even when the bite is tough some where there are active fish, I had a bud over by long point this weekend an as screwwy as thing where he caught decent numbers when the rest of the reports i got were really slow. Now this week is suppose to to a gradual warm up all weeek till friday then saturday a cold front moves in with single digits sat. an sun. my experience has been not to bet on saturday being to productive, but this is me, if you work hard for fish youll get them. Im lazy an like to take naps. grin

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

Just sayen, not all the loyal old fans, can pay for the NFL viewing package!

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
