I havent been out to Spring since Sunday. There was an easy 10 inches. I'm going back out this Sunday and would be surprised if there was not a vehicle out there. F-it I'm driving out.

Last 2 times out (last friday and sunday) I parked on the lake close to shore, many others have. This was on the north side by the winter access. I'm sure its build another 2-3 inches since then. Its your call if you want to drive on 12-13, I'd imagine thats whats there atleast.

Much of the same from me...I was out there Saturday and say a few full sized trucks on the east end. I was in my portable on the north side and saw about 9 - 10 inches of ice. I left Spring and went to Odowd...ppl were alot more aggressive with the vehicles. I saw at least 15 on the ice with about 12 inches of ice.

Was on Spring this morning. Solid 12" in the areas I fished. Was 30 or more vehicles out there all around the lake including mine.

Ok sounds good. Did you by any chance see any of them pulling small wheel houses out with a trucks?

THanks

If it helps ... I was on O"dowds last night and couldn't keep count of the full size trucks parked on top of eachther plus the wheel houses.

Well the good news is we drove around the whole lake and drove back off. Good 12 inches of ice in every hole we drilled and we drilled a lot. The bad new we still can't find the fish. Thought since we could get over by the barn that maybe we would get into some. Caught one small one right away and that was it. Started in 17 fow and punched holes for 500 yards towards shore and another 500 yards out deeper. Tried the deep hole in the middle south shore where the perch are south east in the deep and all along the north side again. 3rd time out on the lake this year and come home empty each time. Got to give my son credit though even though he knows we can go to cedar and limit out in an hour he wants to try for the bigger ones. Pretty good for him since he can't even sit though 2 quarters of the vikings without giving up on them and turning it off. Please let us know if anyone is catching out there. We don't want to know your spots it would just be nice to know if we should keep trying. Take care and good luck.

I was out this summer and noticed all the weeds were gone, and water was a dark green color. It looked like they sprayed the lake in areas but I could be wrong. When I was out I went all over never sat for 20 min, didn't catch a thing.

If my weed kill theory is correct there most likely hiding. And hard to find.

Well let hope that the weed kill did not do a fish kill. I'm sure they are still in there just not where they used to be.

Pretty sure it didn't kill them off. Marked a good amount of them the other day, very tight lipped. Tons of bait fished marked, tons. I kept having to check my hummingbird to make sure I wasn't on some weird setting. Nope just a ton of baitfish.

Not sure how they did the wood back then, but now they have plastic I'm sure you could bend into a circle if yea needed. 👌

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

Just sayen, not all the loyal old fans, can pay for the NFL viewing package!

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
