I was fishing west of the county beach about a half mile last sat and sun nights. There was a small group there then. Chances are that has grown. Fished in about 6 fow some were in 8 everyone was catching fish some more then others but nothing until it got dark. Eyes were biting pretty steady all night. Nothing during the day.

Fishing has been slow the last week, a few small crappies the ten million people on the lake does not help either. My friend dropped the front of his truck in,the narrows on Wednesday so be carefull there is some bad spots.

Anyone know if their biting around the sun-up hours or has it just been a sunset/night bite out there?

Was out there this last weekend and wow! What a rat race trucks driving 40 mph everywhere I had water coming up through my holes in the house from the waves under the ice. The fishing has really slowed down. I don't know how the fish don't get snagged when they swim with so many lines in the lake.

Was out yesterday at sun-up. Not much for traffic that early but still quite a few perms out there. I literally popped around 30 holes and marked nothing the entire time. Dead sea... At least where i was.

RE: Fish getting snagged. I foul hooked an Eye out there last week sometime. Was a heck of a fight but the thing was hooked on the top of the head. They do get snagged!

So is it the usual small towns around the landings at gieger and godahl? Is anyone really fishing the huge amount of area between the the 2 landings? I suppose it the same for the se landing all the houses r along the east shore and by the beach/channel area. Anyone been fishing the west shore area of that landing at all? The lake gets a ton of pressure, but everyone keeps fishing the same areas year after year.

Communities have spread from geigers out towards godahl. Lots of people hovering around the geigers landing still but there has been a steady spread out towards godahl. I haven't been out since last Friday but a friend said there are still a ton of houses out there. We'll see who leaves them out through the rain & wind this weekend.
