full size trucks are driving on hanska and there was a small suv on st.james today. There is enough ice to drive on alot of the lakes around here but me personally i'm still going to wait a little while.

Trucks on Silver lake for the past week. I am still using the 4 wheeler and will for another week or two just to be safe. Ice is not that great yet.

Trucks on French and Mazaska today. I only measured 12 to 13". I'll keep it to my wife car before my Tahoe drives all the way out for a bit.

I found as little as 6.5" on a portion of one lake yesterday evening. I also read in the paper that a truck went in the drink on Jefferson on Monday. My truck will remain on solid ground for a while yet.

There were a few trucks out on Washington today on 10-11" of ice. I would like to remind people that they need to slow down on the ice. Had a guy drive a 3/4 ton chevy pulling a big wheel house about 35 - 40 MPH less than 100 feet of my portable, water splashed 6" up out of the hole! Most everybody else were driving sensibly and the ice hardly cracked.

No big deal. If he\she drives fast. Unhooks quick and gets off the lake in a hurry. The ice will barely know he was there and it won't affect anyone....

I drove by French, Mazaska, and Roberds lakes today and saw a few full size trucks on each lake. I will be waiting until at least the weekend.

Drove on Washington today. Not much cracking so the ice must be in really good shape. I would assume 12+ in all the 100 holes I drilled

Several cars/trucks driving on Frances today. Not sure why though. Everywhere I drilled it looked to be 9-10 inches. That's pushing it in my book.

They have been driving on Hanska for the past two+ weeks. shocked Geiger's point has been getting alot of pressure though people are starting to cover more area of the lake. Very slow during the day, but reports have been good during the night. Check the SW Minnesota forum... there is one post of a truck dumping the front end in, but not exactly sure where.

10.5 in most all the holes I drilled on Thursday. Ice was cracking hard when trucks drove out. Least that is what my tape measured. One spot did have 11 inches.

I was between 3rd point and Grassy.

The 2 CO's that were checking people did not drive out on the ice. In fact he said to me, can you believe the big trucks out here? I said no.

I drove all over in my one ton dually pulling my 20' ice castle. I'm kidding of course, but I did measure 13" on French in all the holes I drilled. I felt very safe in my compact car.

Just heard of a wheelhouse that dropped one wheel in yesterday. There are a few springs on the lake that dont have much ice at all around them. Be careful if you drive

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

Just sayen, not all the loyal old fans, can pay for the NFL viewing package!

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
