Is there any vehicle traffic on either of these lakes yet? Looking to take my house out but I don't have a four wheeler so I need drivable ice. Thanks for any info you can help with.

Hendricks....they are driving out on....the South/west side landing(MN landing)

pretty sure i saw some trucks out there last night I can look tomorrow for you.

On Hendricks....there are about 20 some permanent fish houses (on wheels) out there.....now they are diving out from the Public access in town.....Pretty sure they are pulling them with there pick ups but i drove by and early afternoon when no one was out.

Also not sure on how thick the ice is either

Thanks for the update...I might wait for another week or two until its really safe to drive. I'm guessing everyone are pretty much set up at Nelson's point? This would be my first ice fishing at the lake, so I'm trying to get more info before me and my old man make the long drive.

They where there until last Saturday....then they went to "first point" (straight across from Nelsons point...using the towns access)

shaokatan.......they where about 15 permanent houses off the picnic point access as of Yesterday(sunday-1/6/13) Havent got a thickness report sorry

Hendricks.....driving all over 15-20 houses they keep moving.......havent got a thickness report either. been to busy to go drill sorry

No bite reports either

Maybe put my house out on Hendricks this weekend...we'll have to see about the weather first.

Fished Shaokatan the other day and didn't get a thing. Well.. except 2 bullheads. Water was clear as bell. I'm guessing it's probably a night bite out there. There were a dozen or so permies split between Picnic Point and the island.

Any word on the Hendricks bite?

watch out on Shokoatan. I was out there wednesday and there was an open spot about 8ft in diameter in the middle between the old light house and picnic point. The dnr said it is from natural gas. he also said that one year there was like 52 of those holes out there.

Was out on shaokotan recently. One dinky walter. I didn't know about the holes... good info. Thanks for sharing.
