Betker flat?

Buddy and are coming up tomorrow, no atv or sled so we are hoofing it out, gonna try Betker flat on the west side, any tips or advice? We will be the ones with the sputtering auger that I am cursing at profusely......

Well, we found out that appledorn's was letting 1/2 ton trucks out so we left my truck in Elk river and took my buddies small toyota and headed out on basically 11-14 inches of ice wherever we drilled. We tried 33': great structure, no fish, we went to 21': even better structure no fish, went to highway bar, tried 27', no fish, so we decided to plunk down in the 41' hole, finally saw a fish on the Aqua vu micro, a perch and a tullibee. Then nothing....so at this point we said enough, let's head shallow.... 13 ' at shaws reef, noting, until 4:00 when a 14" walleye mysteriously appeared and took my minnow head on a rattling flyer....

No idea where the fish are, but we found all the spots they weren't....

Paul and his crew were, moving a lot of houses today, gonna be full swing up there next weekend for sure
