Strikemaster Solo engine adjustment

Okay, had my SM with a solo engine out yesterday and when I start it, the auger spins, I know ai have to adjust the low end screw but where in the world do I find it???? When I pull the air cleanere cover off and removemthe air cleaner, there is a black platic plate and the choke mechanism, do I have to remove those as well?

If yu have done this adjustment, canyou take some pictures quick and post them too?

I was just about to make this same post.

On mine it seems like the clutch isn't fully releasing, as opposed to a high idle. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

Now on top of the spinning auger, it bogs down and almost dies when I start augering a hole. If I don't feather it, it does die in the hole. Could it be a fuel issue?

Sounds like its running lean causing the high idle and bog.

If you partially choke it will it drill better?

I don't know what carb the Solo uses do don't know if its using fixed jets or fuel

mixture screw(s). Either way a carb clean is in its future.

Thanks Frank, I will run it lean tomorrow on Mille lacs with a bit of seafoam and see how it goes. Hand auger will be along for back up

Give it a little choke while cutting and see if that improves the bog.

Huh, go figure, fresh gas AND seafoam has it running liked a, hmm well something to do with an ape..... Thanks for the help everyone, I am just an (silly me)
