Motor Problems 115 Johnson

Quick question for everyone.

Just got a call from my fishing partner Groloe, he said he just pulled off the lake and had motor troubles and can't get his motor to fire off.

He has a 115 Johnson, only 3 years old.

There is power and the motor tries to start, and he can smell fuel. He is at the cabin now with boat out of the water.

I told him to disconnect everything from the starting battery except the motor (reason a new depth finder was wired up this week in between the last time it was on the water and this one, seems to be the only thing that was changed, but I know it shouldn't be the cause if we have power to the motor).

Next I told him to check for spark, which still needs to be done. After this I have a limited idea of where to proceed next.

I will be heading up there soon after work this evening and would like a few ideas before I head out.

Make sure that all the lines in the fuel system are connected and tight and that there are no leaks. Just because you can smell fuel doesn't mean it is getting to where it is supposed to.

I have been fighting a similar problem with my evinrude 70. It didn't get fuel pressure to the carbs and had to be manually choked on occasion. Some lines where bad coming out of the VRO pump.

I hope you do not have the same problem that I had about a month ago. My 115 HP Johnson had the same problem motor died and I could not get it too start. I ended up burning a piston on my motor. I am still waiting to get it back the whole powerhead has to be replaced. I hope you have better luck with your motor and it is something minor.

Thanks guys,..put the muffs on the motor and she fired right up. Go figure!

Hopefully it doesn't show its face again.

upnorth and donz, I just had a 60HP jonhson burn out a piston for the second time I learn slow but now I would recomend to everyone to mix your gas and oil as the vro system will fail sooner or later and why have trouble, just disable the thing and mix your own, I had old Jonhsons last forever before they invented the vro

If your company is very large and has many employees, you will have to hire a professional company that is specifically dedicated to that, since a single professional will not be able to do everything, in the google search bar you can find many, but if someone here can recommend you one that has used it as much as possible is much better, good luck to your company and to you!

BW is not a designated Trout lake. The limit is the same as state which I think is 5 bows. Don't think there is a size limit either since they don't breed.

Rotes, Hi, I just joined this forum and these corner caps are just what I have been looking for. Is it possible at this late date to get a set of these made for my Lund? The only difference I can see is the color of the material. Would you be willing to make a set for me? Thanks, [email protected]

Any move requires time and effort, but if you turn to a moving company for help, then some of the problems will disappear immediately. Firstly, the guys from the moving services always take care of the client's property, pack and carefully transfer your things to the car. Secondly, when moving with movers, you do not have to worry about the road, they choose the fastest and safest way, as they have extensive experience in transportation.

Anybody know how much the lake temps have dropped?   Are people have the most success with minnows vs crawlers when fishing with live bait lately, or are crawlers still working?

Snuck out last night, water Temps down to 54-56, last Thurs mid 60s. Fish were finicky. Leaves are changing quickly here, lots falling. Two weeks should be a lot better in the woods

I agree with the previous comment, you could save a lot of money by making your website first .. its design .. and then if you want to move .. but if you want, you can immediately ..-) look here: https://digitalsuits.co/hire-developers/hire-shopify-developers/

I think that even at the initial stage, you need to consult with specialists who have been working in this field for a long time .. and then you will really get the result .. otherwise you can spend a lot of time and in the end you will have to redo everything .. for example, look here: https://www.softformance.com/services/software-consulting-company/
