I have some questions hope someone can help?
1) Live in Lesueur---What is the best/shortest route to LOTW- Approx how long a trip?
2) Drive a F150- can you drive across 4 mile bay and bark near shore and walk onto the lake to 20+ ft of water? How far a walk?
3) Does anyone rent snowmobiles?
4) Do any resorts simply bring you+gear out across pine for a fee?

Thanks

I would suggest one of to options. First you could go thru a resort and get a package deal this would give you a good lay of the land and you would know where to go and how far it would be. Secound is to wait for Adrians resort to start plowing the roads the access fee was $5 last year. From Pine Island you will be going about another mile out, but could be up to 5 miles or more later in the year. I don't think a resort would haul your equipment out they want to sell you the package deal.

Seamonster: I live in St Cloud and this is the route I use primarily because there is very little traffic.
Hwy 10 north from St Cloud to Motley, #64 from Motley north through Ackley. You will interect with #200, turn left and hook up with #73 north to Blackduck. This will take you past Bemidji on the west end, only one stop light. From there its pretty clear sailing. You will go past Upper Red through Washish, and Keliher. From St Cloud we can make it easily in 5 hrs with a breakfast stop. Hope this helps. Bill

Seamonster- Plenty of resorts will provide you with transportation out to their fish houses, if your planning on portables i dont know if they will still take you. They also provide you with bait, but if you want specifics you better stop and get them.
JHansel

Central America. Focus. We almost went for a local overnight crappie run but the daughter’s septic froze so I got to work the brown trout pond through a 4 inch hole. It was opener today afterall. 😉

Ok, how did we get from crappies and freezing temps to pond slime eaters in south America? Focus! 🙄

The locals there shoot ducks but don't hunt them. If they see a bunch on a pond they'll sneak up and water swat them but it's strictly for food not sport. My buddy runs an outfitter so him and I will hunt a few days and scout then I'll help him with a group whose coming mid week. He's from there. Hoping he can come to Canada next year with me. He's never seen or shot a goose

Awesome kind of trip! I figured there would be a local benefit if you couldn’t bring them back (not saying you can’t). Having a connection down there is pretty cool! We donated a good share of meat to the village in Kotzebue, AK instead of shipping it all back. Pretty pricey and they really appreciated it. Win/win.

I don't bring them back, eat a lot then clean them for the village. Some like them plucked and some like the breasts cut out. It's really remote where I go and the locals live off the land. I know they want me to go get some doves for them too. My buddy is a local so we'll probably go get a deer as well for some venison for some of the elders in the community
