Rainy River Fall Bite

Just went out fishing this afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 with my two boys, and caught our limit of really nice walleyes. Even picked up a couple really nice perch. We were sitting right out front of the resorts next to the wind sock in 20 ft. of water. We were jigging with 3/8 oz. jigs and using frozen shiners. This spot is of course no secret, but I just wanted to share my excitement for this fall fishing season, and to also let those who are waiting for this to happen know!!

Even last weekend there were fish in the river. Stuck there because of the wind we had a pretty darn good day. Fish of all sizes include one whopper in the net and a couple other ones we did not get that far.

Looks like the time is ripe.

I'm going to make an educated guess...I think there might be a couple boats on that spot this morning?
