WORST CALL EVER!!

I guess Packer fans are the only ones that have a clue crazy

I never said it was the RIGHT call, I just said since it was called that way on the field, there wasnt enough evidence to over turn it. If it was called an interception, Seattle would have been whining, and it wouldnt have been reversed either.

The fact of the matter is that it COULD NOT have been overturned on review. When watching the play in full speed I have no doubt that the best ref of all time could have had a hard time with that particular call. Sure anyone can call it when view still shots frame by frame.

Fans have become spoiled.

oh and lets not forget that a NFL veteran official has gone on record saying that during a hail mary jump ball basically anything goes, so the odds are VERY high that wouldn't have been called with the regular guys either.

And others have said that while ticky tacky bumping into calls would not be called this was to evident to ignore.

Packer fans have more to worried about than a blown call. Their offensive production is even Steven with the Cleveland Browns.

G PPG TY PASS RUN

Green Bay Packers 3 19.0 304.3 226.0 78.3

Cleveland Browns 3 19.0 296.3 209.0 87.3

Not according to the statement issued by the NFL.

Ok yeah I just reread that, I was wrong. I guess in the end zone that is reviewable.

I realize were talking pigskin here but there was a way more contraversial outcome in the most recent Manny pacquio boxing match. Hardly got the media attention but hurt the mans career big time.

If Seattle would have lost on a call like that, I wonder if we would still be reading about it? Way too many games have been won by bad calls in G.B.

I doubt it, GB fans are just a bunch of Whiners when a call doesnt go their way. For an example the 49'ers got 2 extra time outs, and got to challenge 2 plays, without a time out. Hardly made the news, and that wasnt even controversial. But the Packers get a call, that at full speed, could go either way, and the review officials couldnt see a reason to over turn it. But that goes viral crazy

You do realize most of my posts have just been references to what you have said in the past about the Vikings, when the same things have happened to them. But now that it happened to your team, it is a big deal!

My team?

And lets be honest, nothing of this magnitude has happened to the whiney Vikings. This was a blown call that the entire country believes was a bad call.

End of story.

Wow, the entire country, really?

This type of thinking is why packer fans are despised by fans in Illinoise, Minnesota, and Michigan.

I think most of us love how agitated this makes LMITOUT...he's very concerned about the national ramifications of a blown call, right guys? It has nothing to do with being a Packers supporter at best or Vikings gadfly at worst...LOL!

In the words of Mike Tice "Okay, calm down."

Actually, I wasn't that surprised that one of refs called it a TD. Tate had both hands on the ball. There were many calls worse than that during the game.

They almost never call pass interference on those jump ball hail marys.

What the packers should be concerned with, is there are only 3 teams in the NFC with fewer points than them, and 3 teams with fewer TD's than them!

That's classic... their 3 division rivals. MN is hated equally by Green Bay, Chicago and Detroit...

Chicago is hated equally by Green Bay, Minnesota and Detroit and so on and so - on...

Now if you were to throw Iowa in there! ha laugh

Good Luck!

I good with it... haven't got worked up at all about this. I find it comical that some have. I think the blown calls went both ways. I think McCarthy lost the game with his poor play calling in the 1st half and his 3 worse than pathetic run plays he called on their last possession... there was no way he could burn the clock on three plays and they needed a first down or the Chickens were going to have to go 40 some odd yards with a inute left... very do-able

Packers have no one to blame but themselves. They never should have let themselves get in the position where one desperation play or one blown call was going to let the game slip away.

Good Luck!

I think that's where you are wrong. Minnesota's biggest rival is Green Bay, Chicago's biggest rival is Green Bay. There isn't nearly the anticipation of the Bears vs. Vikes game as there is a Packers vs. Bears, or Packers vs. Vikes Game. Personally, I will cheer for Detroit and Chicago if they get to the Superbowl. I will never, ever, root for the Pack. I think there are more people that think like this than delusional Packer fans will ever admit.

Respect them, sure, they are a good organization, but I wouldn't be caught dead cheering for them.

I grew up in Chicago... trust me they despise the Packers but only slightly more than Detroit or Minnesota. Not enough to split hairs over.

My Chicago cousins HATE the Vikings... and make sure I hear it... but then again, they now think that I am a Vikings fan. HA

Good Luck!

I never have, never will like the Packers. But they are a solid organization, and I was impressed they had the class to send 11 players back onto the field for that field goal 10 minutes after the game ended.

With that said, I agree with many of the sentiments posted here. They've been playing bad football this year, every team gets screwed by calls that don't go their way at one time or another, and if they would have executed better during the game they wouldn't have put themselves in a position to loose the game in the first place.

I know I slept like a baby Monday night and woke up happy on Tuesday morning.

ya, when 80 percent of the red flag replays get overturned it does show that we need the real refs back. according to the news, the real refs may be back this weekend with an aggreement near. we will see. i expect complaints against the real refs also as usual. good luck.

what do they look like this spring?

I might have missed a guess, but here are the ones that I noted:   JerkinLips – March 27th, then April 7th Brianf. – March 28th Bobberwatcher – April…. MikeG3Boat – April 10th SkunkedAgain – early April, then April 21st   Definitely a tough year for guesses, as it seemed to be a no-brainer early ice out. Then it got cold and snowed again.

So, that was you in the camo lund? I'm bummed, I have to head back to the cities tomorrow for a few days, then back up for at least a few weeks. Got the dock in and fired up to get out chasing some crappies till opener!

On the south end...   Lots of ice on the main basin, but it is definitely deteriorating.  Some anglers have been fishing the open water at the mouth of the Rainy River in front of the Lighthouse Gap.  The rest of the basin is still iced over. Pike enthusiasts caught some big pike earlier last week tip up fishing in pre-spawn areas adjacent to traditional spawning areas.  8 - 14' of water using tip ups with live suckers or dead bait such as smelt and herring has been the ticket.  Ice fishing for all practical purposes is done for the year. The focus for the basin moving forward will be pike transitioning into back bays to spawn,  This is open water fishing and an opportunity available as the pike season is open year round on Lake of the Woods. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. With both the ice fishing and spring fishing on the Rainy River being so good, many are looking forward to the MN Fishing Opener on Saturday, May 11th.  It should be epic. On the Rainy River...  An absolutely incredible week of walleye and sturgeon fishing on the Rain Rainy River.     Walleye anglers, as a rule, caught good numbers of fish and lots of big fish.  This spring was one for the books.   To follow that up, the sturgeon season is currently underway and although every day can be different, many boats have caught 30 - 40 sturgeon in a day!  We have heard of fish measuring into the low 70 inch range.  Lots in the 60 - 70 inch range as well.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  Open water is continuing to expand in areas with current.  The sight of open water simply is wetting the pallet of those eager for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th.   A few locals were on the ice this week, targeting pike.  Some big slimers were iced along with some muskies as well.  If you like fishing for predators, LOW is healthy!
    • Brianf.
Early bird gets the worm some say...   I have it on good authority that this very special angler caught no walleyes or muskies and that any panfish caught were released unharmed.
