Garden Lake Duck Hunters??

Recommended Posts

Has anyone duck hunted Garden Lake or the adjacent Johnson Lake just east of Nisswa and south of Breezy Point?

How is the hunting there if you have hunted it? What types of ducks do you usually see?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, so it doesn't seem like anyone has hunted there. Does anyone duck hunt in the Nisswa/Breezy area? Is the hunting any good or would you recommend trying elsewhere?

Thanks

Yep! We still have an old boat and blind in there on both lakes.

Last hunt was about 05

Was one of the best ringneck shoots in my 40 yrs of duckin.

There are plenty of spots in the area. To hard to point to one. This year may be different though as we have been getting a little rain each week. I have standing water in an area that has not seen water in 10+ years. Mallards have been coming in every day.

I live near Garden Lake, I hear shooting that way pretty regular on the weekends, once in a while during the week. I don't think they are hammering them but you should get a little shooting.
