Good lake within an hour of tower

Recommended Posts

I have a cabin in on vermilion in tower and would like to try a different lake. I haven't fished another lake in this region. Is there any other good sized lakes around the area that can have good fishing. Not looking for spots just lakes

That could be an extremely long list.

I would try

Bear head

White iron

Which lost lake are you talking about, I believe there is two in that neck of the woods. Do you mean the one in gilbert or the other one?

Hard to understand why anybody would want to fish another lake when they could be on Vermilion, but hey that's just me. Casey's list was pretty good and I would second Birch Lake. It has a good Walleye population, excellent Smallmouth bass action and the Crappie action used to be very good back in the day. The Walleye action is good however the tactics you use on Vermilion will need a little adjustment if you want to get on them.
