Haha.. Think everyone got caught up in chasing everything other than trout for the most part.. gotta remember.. with the weather we had this winter in the midwest... winter c&r kept a lot of us plenty busy.. so busy for me in fact that i didn't wanna chase trout for awhile..

Do you use TFO ?? All my fly rods i won are TFO i love them my newest is a 10wt bvk.

Yup, 4 through 10 and a couple spinning rods. Hard to find a better rod for the price IMO.

Nate

I have 5,7,10 wt But I would love to fill in the missing ones i am thinking of filling in the 8,9 in with the bvks and i might jump ship and try a St. Croix Legend Elite in a 6 wt just for somthing different. I do love TFO though.

I'm in the market for a solid 9 weight, Thorne Bros told me they don't have any rods that are worth the money last night, so I've moved on to internet searches. Was looking exclusively at St Croix, starting to look at TFK. The BVKs look nice, but just a bit higher than I want to spend on anything that I don't build. Do you have any feedback on the Lefty Kreh Sig Series II, or TiCr X models?

Bought the 9 wt. Went with the TFO Lefty Kreh Signature Series. Spent more on the reel and line than I did the rod :P Should have this setup by Tuesday, pumped to try it!

Tell us how it goes, your first trip(s) and cast, cast, cast. Every year I used to think my shoulder or my elbow or my back is going to finally give before the pike go away. Now its not a problem I think it'll suck at first, keep at it. It does become easier over time.

Good to know in advance, thanks for the heads up. I'm used to casting those heavy flies...but need the water to help me load it when using my 6wt. Should be a nice change.
