I am thinking about heading over to talcot some time after opener to try and catch some eyes and channels. Wondering if I should concentrate my efforts on the main lake or the north side with all the river channels? I saw on the dnr site that the max depth is 6ft, but I am wondering if it is possible to find a couple deeper holes some where in the river channels on the north side? I am not looking for any secret spots just whether a not I should fish the main lake or take a chance and go exploring looking for a deeper hole somewhere on the north side.

I actually have my best luck on the south and east sides.

Had a friend on the lake last weekend. He said they were the only boat out there and never had a touch.
