airplanes and the snow depth??

Im wondering how much snow is out on the ice near the gull rock and farther north area? Actually my uncle Mikey has a plane and we want to make our annual voyage out to 16 mile reef, but we need to know how much snow is out there befor we leave. With the wheels on 6 inches of snow is ok but any deeper we need the skis. THanks for the info boys. <P>16 mile reef or bust!!!

Ya know, evrybody around here works pretty darn hard to save up and get the sweet extras we need to ice fish, things like power augers - $400, huts - $500, atv's, snowmobiles, the list goes on. And now we gotta add AIRPLANE! Wait til momma finds out I need an eight seater twin prop for walleyes. Yow!
