I WAS JUST READING THIS LAST NIGHT IN FISHERMAN MAGAZINE.. SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT WAY TO TARGET PIKE, IM REALLY INTERESTED IN TRYING THIS OUT.. GREAT INFO!! I HAVE ALLREADY CAUGHT 6 OR SO PIKE IN THE LAST 3 WKNDS.. 2 OVER 40... BUT HAVNT SPECIFICALLY BEEN TARGETING THEM.. CANT WAIT TO TRY

by the way jonny you said in your article you said you saw and then caught a big pike that had a dead eye.. kinda funny the big pike i got had one eye that was flat with his head and the pupil in his eye was really small not sure that eye even worked...sound like the one that you caught?

funny a couple weeks ago when we were up we caught a 36 or so inch northern with a dead eye out of hillman's road area...weird

JP heard the bit on in-fishermen radio this morning on the drive in. Straw mentioned that it was a big pike coming and going around 60 yards to and from your side and a buddies side. Matt also said it was the same fish because of a scar on the body? Anyways, good stuff and interesting. Later!

It is amazing what the Marcum camera has done to teach us about pike and pike behavior. Things we would have never thought of we are now seeing live from below the ice. Like pike going vertical and pinning baitfish on the bottom!? Really? Footage of it on Youtube. Pike chasing down and striking baits at trolled at 6, 7 even 8 mph, yup underwater footage of that on You tube also. The personal underwater camera has changed the game.
