Ryan Peterson's Guiding Report 1/18

Recommended Posts

We are now finding nothing less then 18 inches of ice, we have a road marked out from Denny's Resort to Moxies Hole and then north to Red Hook, travel is great! Fishing over the last week has been up and down depending on what you are after. Perch slowed down for a couple days when the clouds came in and then picked back up yesterday. The walleye bite has been best at twilight lots of fish still on the break lines and bars, during the day the best bite is 20 to 25 fow and at low light in 16 to 20 fow. We are also seeing alot of nice pike they are holding in the same depth as the perch 20 to 25 fow, although one group had even pulled some nice pike from 30 fow so you just never know.

ryan,

i agree 18" of ice. i had my 250 out there last night. NOT a DIESEL.

do you have houses out there? If so what color?

Had fun --- plenty of fish on camera. - perch, walleye, pike, pout and big suckers. I love this lake, wish it was closer.

Red hook is just north of moxies and south of the saddle, its the under water point with a couple humps on the west side of the point. We will be marking the path to question mark hump this weekend when thnigs warm up. I do have one house out at red hook, not pulling the rest up that way till it warms up. Corey have you been out, how was fishing?

Ok I know where you are talking. I have mainly speared and tip up fished this year on winnie. We had 2 pigs break off on tip ups over new years. We set up for eyes new years day in that wind and in an hr we caught 3 but called it quits!

I did get out last Sunday for eyes. Fished a north hump from 2-430. We set up in 26 fow. Caught a 23 and a 17 had 3 get off half way up and many lookers! Buddy was on the same hump on the other side in 21 fow they only caught one and had perch. Lindy Frostee Spoon got the most action. Not sure yet but I might be out this weekend.

Does anyone have A 5 person sleeper ice house for rent during February 6th through the 10th?

Police brutality is a concern right now in many areas, and everyone is working to safeguard their rights. But it is this situation itself that needs to be examined. Having knowledge of police brutality was really helpful to me. Try this at . There is a ton of information here https://supremestudy.com/essay-examples/police-brutality/ on it, which you may also examine in further detail huge learn more about. I hope it will be helpful to you

Finding between 3-7 inches of ice around most of the st cloud area. Was on one of the bigger lakes and one of the shallower ones in our area today. On the larger lake,  lots of ice in the bays, but main lake had roughly 3 inches where I checked.  The Shallow one had right around 7 inches.  Fish bit very well on one, and not so great on the other.

Polkiss this...   Logging is the only way out of the Smokey the Bear debacle. We've created so much fuel in the understory from fire suppression. Logging, BIGTIME may be the only answer. Top off the past century of fire suppression with now hundreds of thousands of acres of bug kill in our mature forests when as much as a bug farts, millions of acres lie waste to everything from fire, even micro organisms in the soil. Then heavy rain, or snowmelt washes away what's left...... Log Baby Log 👍👍 and flood the mills with wood, not ash.

many thanks to you all for providing the information.  it is appreciated.

Knowing and comprehending it myself For instance, logging has increased significantly over time. This can't possibly be permitted. I can speak for myself when I say that we now need to consider how to read about this essay [source] because I was able to learn a lot and even used this information to write a course at the university. Therefore, if anyone needs some knowledge about deforestation, it is useful from both a theoretical and practical point of view. Everyone must protect the environment!

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the safety tip.  Always good to know where springs in lakes are!  👍

Ok I did not check ice thicknesses yet but green, blue, baxter, lori, and elk all had anglers on them. I hope to check thicknesses soon.

There is also some springs in the way back of blue lake ( In nashwauk MN) If you go back there you may run into some if you go to the right or the left there is some both directions so I would suggest not going back there or if you do i would check the ice every 25ft or so at least have fun out there
