Pine Island area

I and a group of friends are going to be fishing in the Pine Island area the 19th,20th and 21st. We'll be going out off Wheelers Point. Can anyone tell me how far out from Pine Island you have to go to find water that's 25ft?

From 1/2 to 3/4 mile depending on where you are on Pine. Was fishing last week and did real well in about 23'. Am heading up that way in the morning again. Will probably start shallow and head deeper later. Good fishing

Thanks Raven. How did you do today? What did you have for ice thickness on the other side of Pine? The 19th when we come up, we will be bringing snowmobiles and 4 wheelers. With the low temp's the next few nights I would hope we would be able to drive heavy vehicles out to Pine Island. Time will tell. Thanks for the info!

was there last weekend. 8 inches out at 24 foot water.50 saugar and 9 wallyes. poeple were parking in the bay off the point. adreans was not charging at that time for access. did see others with small pick-ups driving past pine hauling shacks out.this cold weather must be really making ice there.
