Why does a person go away from spearing for so long and then return to remember how much it was. I did the same thing and regret every year that I

didn't spear. Man do I got days on the ice to make up. You do the same Boar.

Thanks guys, no doubt arch, Hawk, I think is alot of cases as man starts to raise a family, he has to pick a choose, before kids i did most everything, upland, waterfowl, archery, rifle, ice, open water, spearing an of course partying, family came along an had to give some things up in order to maintain a balance an stay married, as the kids grew then the choosen few that i got really good at, the kids started to come along, an as they age i start to bring in a few of those that i let go for so long. Its all good, an im certainly getting back into spearing. Cant wait. Later baor

Boar, I have the opposite situation. I am 53 this year and spearing for the first time. I am having a blast and wonder at all those seasons I have missed growing up around Willmar. Well I guess I still have a lot of good years ahead of me but can't help but wonder about the lost opportunity. So if you get the chance and know someone who might be interested in this awesome sport try to take them out. Who knows, they might become addicted like I have!
